Haunted Love — page 2 — CHAPTER 1 CLAUDIA It’s just another ordinary day in my sometimes-way-too-complicated life I oversleep but I don’t rush getting dressed or combing out my hair or putting on just enough make-up to show off my eyes and cover a tiny zit on my chin Then like every day Mom wants me to eat breakfast I don’t have time so she argues I promise not to wilt during fourth period English and I grab a banana to eat on the bus

Haunted Love — page 3 — I’d have more time to spend at home if Jimmy would give me a ride but he won’t He never does Or hardly ever anyway At first it was kind of frustrating but I’m over it The bus ride gives me a few extra minutes to spend with my friends on the way to school and it’s a chance to get a bit of homework done on the way home Monica doesn’t ride the bus anymore Now that she and Rory are officially together he’s been picking her up every morning She waltzes into homeroom every day just before the bell rings smiling and with stars in her eyes I can’t wait till Brad gets his license His birthday is before mine so he’ll get to take his drivers test first He’s even taking private driving lessons already It will be really great when my boyfriend can drive
