About the Author Born in London in 1973 David Horan and his twin brother are the youngest of a large family David grew up in several different places in North London and went to school in Finchley Whilst living in the Golders Green area for many years David attended various colleges and Thames Valley University David has a great interest in the Natural World and conservation David has been writing for 20 years screenplays for films and theatre projects but this is his first children's novel

When nine year old Andrew was told that he and his six year old sister Gemma would be going to stay at their grandparent's house again for a week or two during the summer Andrew was ecstatic Because Andrew knew that staying at his grandparent's home meant eating plenty of pizza hamburgers plenty of ice cream and all the sweets he could eat It also meant having fun at the local park and enjoying Grandad's menagerie in his back garden But what Andrew's grandad didn't tell Andrew about was a secret animal in his collection a rather large one
