CHAPTER 1 Bricks Bricks Everywhere Maya and her brother Ryan sat on the floor They cleared a space and dumped out their LEGO bin Bricks flew onto the wood There were wheels and windows There were large and small LEGO bricks Blocks of every color piled up All they had to do was think of something to build Kids of all ages love to build LEGO creations with their families and friends
They could build a city said Maya Ryan suggested a car The possibilities were endless The siblings looked at each other Why didn’t they just build it all They got to work Maya made the streets She stacked bricks up A huge tower rose in the middle of their city
Since LEGO bricks are designed to stick to each other they can be stacked together to make tall towers
Smaller houses popped up A few LEGO people sat on their lawns Ryan started constructing a car It was going to be huge Maybe it should be a bus Maya thought that was a great idea Then lots of people could travel at the same time And what if it had wings Maya made seats for the people Ryan made sure there were headlights on the flying bus The LEGO people filed into the bus Maya counted down to liftoff three two one Ryan made a whooshing sound He lifted the bus into the air
