It was not an easy climb But the view would be worth it The hiker rounded one last curve Suddenly the arch was in sight The sandstone arch was bright orange in the late day sun Smooth sandstone spread out in a wide bowl around the arch Other people sat on the ground The hiker took several pictures He sat on a nearby slope The landscape stretched out in front of him with the Delicate Arch in the middle of it all Tread Carefully Arches National Park is open all year But during rainstorms and winter the rocks become slippery People need to be careful so they do not get hurt Some areas are unstable People can slip or rocks can fall
