THE TREASURES OF THE GODS just gotten himself out of trouble L oki the clever trickster god had He had stolen the beautiful golden hair of the goddess Sif Luckily he was able to convince some master craftsmen to make new hair for Sif These craftsmen were dwarfs Dwarfs lived in mountains and rocks and made tools and jewelry out of metal They hammered gold into fine silky wires Sif’s new hair looked even more beautiful and fit on her head perfectly But seeing the dwarfs golden handiwork made Loki greedy Now Loki wanted more treasures Loki frequently causes trouble in stories from Norse mythology 5
