CHAPTER 1 Zapped Today’s meeting of Wendy’s Weather Warriors is called to order Wendy Peters tapped the gavel on the card table in the center of the clubhouse I’d like to order a pizza Dennis Galloway said Wendy rolled her eyes Dennis could be so weird But she couldn’t help but grin at her new friends Dennis was nuts about weather experiments He kept a notebook of experiments for every type of weather in his pocket And Jessica Roberts was a photographer She was nuts about weather photography most of all Maybe they should call themselves Wendy’s Weather Nuts No they had 4

Jessica grabbed her backpack and pulled out a photo album I actually have two things to tell First here are the pictures from the tornado we had Look there’s some of the cafetorium with part of the roof lifted off and all the mess around the neighborhood She held out the album to Wendy I thought we should keep it here at the clubhouse Her tornado photograph had also been posted on the Circleville Elementary Web site Great Wendy said She snapped her fingers We could have a shelf in the clubhouse called Weather Pictures by Jessica Jessica smiled at Wendy Thanks My other thing is that Mrs Stuard told me that I could be the official photographer for the big soccer match between Circleville and Diamond Elementary next Saturday 7
