Mr Byrd pointed at Morgan And go So Morgan played an F note on her clarinet Mr Byrd nodded Colby it's your turn I blew into my saxophone's mouthpiece and played my note too And together he said pumping his fist into the air When we were finished Morgan said Your cheeks were too puffy Colby Try firming them a little more Great Now Morgan was giving me a hard time about my saxophone skills too And to make it even worse she did it right in front of Mr Byrd I didn't want to look bad in front of my band director Who would Anyway Mr Byrd apparently thought Morgan was some kind of junior high band genius He smiled and said I'm impressed that you noticed Morgan And this is exactly the kind of communication building exercise that I hoped for

musical conductors in the whole entire world you know I ended my song and Morgan went on with And I want to be the next one to lead an orchestra on the big stage Yeah well for now you'd better jet your brain back from New York City to Benton Bluff We've gotta work on getting our pitch together I said right before positioning my mouthpiece and playing another F concert pitch Much better Morgan said You didn't look like a baby chipmunk that time Thanks I think Morgan and I worked on playing our note together over and over By the time Mr Byrd came around to listen to us again we sounded pretty awesome together Mr Byrd noticed too What an improvement Morgan and Colby I'd say you two are almost pitch perfect
