I liked to spend my summers lounging around Hanging with my older brother Eli getting annoyed by my younger sister Isabelle going to Yankees games traveling upstate to see my Aunt Martha and swim in her pool Maybe a day camp or two I know that no one would think it was very exciting but it worked fine for me And I wanted this summer to be like the last few Especially after this school year when everybody seemed to be different This year boys who were my good friends suddenly forgot that I existed Another one of my best friends Rebecca decided that Ariel and I weren't cool and ditched us for the popular kids Unpopular kids suddenly became popular and vice versa Did I want to deal with a bunch of new people this summer Definitely not But here I was alone on a bus thanks to Ariel’s unexpected family trip
