Giant Bubbles Make your own bubble mix and get ready for some giant bubble fun What You Need 4 4 4 4 4 4 Six cups of water One cup of dishwashing liquid One tablespoon of glycerin available in drugstores or corn syrup Basin or dishpan Wire hanger Masking tape Science Notes Bubbles pop when they dry out Adding glycerin or corn syrup slows down the drying time and makes the bubbles last longer and get bigger If you don’t have glycerin or corn syrup try adding sugar or gelatin powder to your bubble mix If you are making bubbles outside your bubbles will last longer on humid or rainy days You will also get stronger bubbles if you let the mix sit for a day or put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes before using it 4
What You Do Mix the water dishwashing liquid and glycerin or corn syrup in a large basin or dishpan Make a bubble wand by bending the wire hanger into a circle a square a heart or any other shape you want Cover the sharp end of the hanger with masking tape Dip your wand into the bubble mix and lift it out gently Slowly wave your wand in the air and watch giant bubbles float out 5
