She sighed as the crowd of well-wishers began to thin heading for their cars and she quickened her pace to reach the limo before the twins could convince the driver to leave her behind Before she reached the door though she felt a hand touch her shoulder Chantella was too upset to be friendly It was no doubt one of her dad’s friends or business partners ready to offer hearty congratulations She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to brace herself Then she put on her best fake smile opened her eyes and turned around Hello little wonder said the woman in front of her She was around Chantella’s height and about ten years older with startlingly red hair worn high on her head Suddenly Chantella’s fake smile turned real an ear-to ear shining grin Verna she shouted with glee She threw her arms around the woman’s neck
