The Land Western Bolivia sits high in the Andes Mountains The Cordillera Occidental range runs along the border with Chile To the east are the sharper peaks of the Cordillera Oriental Between the two ranges the land flattens into the barren Altiplano or High Plateau Large lakes and white salt flats are cradled within the Altiplano Altiplano 6
