Therapy Dogs — page 1 — 4 Nursing home residents gather in the common area Many are in wheelchairs They are eager to meet a special visitor Soon a small sheepdog named Charlie arrives with his handler Charlie spends time with each person He enjoys sitting with them while they pet him He also likes to perform a few tricks He shakes hands twirls and waves The residents take turns throwing a ball for Charlie to fetch Later Charlie and his handler visit people who are too ill to leave their beds Each person spends a few minutes petting Charlie Some ask to snuggle with him in their bed All too soon it is time for Charlie and his handler to leave But he will return again Charlie loves bringing joy to the nursing home residents
