third-grade When Kami and Jocelyn got to school that morning they grinned at each other then went to opposite sides of the classroom Their teacher Mr Perez decided at the beginning of the school year that they could not sit together Neither one could stop talking to the other all day every day Mr Perez had even called their parents and told them that the girls were a distraction Kami and Jocelyn got in big trouble at home They also had to change seats in class which was a bummer Jocelyn and Kami met when they both fell into a puddle at their favorite park way back when they were both little three year olds They laughed and splashed until they were covered in mud That mud bath made them best friends forever They do everything together but they don’t always like the same things Kami is messy and 8
