THE STORY OF KEVIN DURANT DESTINED FOR STARDOM Kevin fell in love with basketball at an early age His mom was eager for him to play as much as possible so she helped him join a local Amateur Athletic Union AAU youth team That team the PG Jaguars based in Prince George's County Maryland would quickly become one of the best in the country While Kevin played for the Jaguars his outstanding talent helped the team win two national championships To capture the titles the Jaguars had to beat the best AAU teams from all over the country This was Kevin's first experience with serious competition After performing superbly in a champion ship game Kevin told his mom that he wanted to play in the NBA Wanda told Kevin that if he wanted to achieve that dream he would have to work very hard So Kevin did He spent all of his free time working out practicing and perfecting his basketball skills Kevin's hard work and devotion would pay off Kevin goes up for a slam dunk at the 2006 McDonald's All American game for the top high school players in the United States By the time he finished high school Kevin was already on a path to the
