7 CHAPTER TWO EARLY LIFE When Albert Einstein was still a baby his family moved from Ulm to the bigger city of Munich There his father Hermann ran a factory that made electrical equipment His mother Pauline ran the home She passed on her love of music to Albert and he played the violin throughout his life He had a little sister named Maja who was his lifelong friend Einstein and his little sister Maja in the 1880s
